MatterWars este un joc de actiune/strategie distractiv jucatorul avand ca obiectiv cucerirea clusterelor inamice folosind particule de materie din propriile sale clustere. Jocul are 21 de nivele predefinite precum si un mod numit “Experiment Unic” unde este generat un nou nivel de fiecare data.
Utilizatorul are posibilitatea de a alege intre 5 tipuri diferite de materie, fiecare avand proprietati si caracteristici unice. Pe parcursul jocului materia poate fi imbunatatita folosind punctele de cercetare dobandite in urma finalizarii unui nivel. De asemenea, fiecare tip de materie are un AI unic atunci cand lupta impotriva jucatorului. Acesta descoperind astfel ca inamicii au strategii de lupta diferite facand fiecare nivel sa fie unic.
Jocul este disponibil atat pentru PC in varianta web cat si pentru smartphonuri si tablete. Platformele mobile suportate sunt iPhone, iPad, Android si Blackberry Playbook.
Pentru varianta web este recomandata o placa video mai noua de 2010 pentru a beneficia de accelerare 3D pe GPU. In cazul in care aceasta cerinta nu poate fi indeplinita din setari se poate dezactiva sistemul de particule, crescand astfel framerate-ul. Varianta de mobile necesita iPhone 4 sau iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad 2 pentru iOS iar pentru Android este necesar un telefon compatibil cu AIR Mobile si cu o rezolutie a ecranului de minim 800×480.

MatterWars is a fun action/strategy game where you have to conquer enemy matters using particles from your own clusters. The game has 21 predefined levels and also a “Single Experiment” mode where a new and unique level is generated each time.
The use has 5 matter types to choose from, each with it’s own and unique characteristics. During the game, the player can improve the matter’s characteristics in order to conquer the enemy. Also, each matter type has it’s own AI when fighting against you. During gameplay you will discover that each enemy has different tactics, making each level unique.
The game is available for the PC as a web version and also for smartphones and tablets. The mobile platforms that are supported are iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry Playbook.
For the web version a graphics card newer than 2010 is recommended in order to have 3D acceleration over GPU. If this requirement isn’t met the particle system can be disabled from the settings menu, increasing the framerate.
Mobile devices supported are iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad2, Blackberry Playbook and also any Android smartphone compatible with AIR Mobile and a screen resolution of 800×480 or above. Any Honeycomb tablet is also supported.
